This was, believe it or not, my very first low approach at the BER. I’ve done dozens of them at Tegel (TXL) but Schönefeld, being kind of a regional airport, never attracted my attention. This is of course different now, BER being the only remaining international airport of our region. Unfortunately, the view on the day was quite marginal. We’ve had wonderful “summer” days in mid-winter (February) at the cost of immense amounts of Sahara dust in the air (my plane literally got sandblasted). But hey, I sat in my plane in my T-Shirt and had a blast!
